Medical supplies supported to Orthopaedic hospital


Kathmandu. The Trans Himalayan Friendship Society Nepal has provided various medical supplies to Nepal Orthopaedic Hospital in Jorpati, Kathmandu.

Chairperson of the Society Prof Dr Rajiv Kumar Jha handed over the materials to the Medical Director of the hospital Dr Yuvraj Kharel at a function held on Thursday. The support included three oxygen concentrators, sanitizer manufacturing and disinfection machines and other health items.


President of the society and professor at Xi'an Medical University in China Dr Jha said that the society has provided medical supplies as support to various organizations and hospitals in Nepal after the outbreak of corona virus in the country. He also expressed happiness over being able to support the hospital working in a not-for-profit manner.

Medical Director Dr Kharel and Deputy Director Dr Kailash Bhandari thanked the society and said that these important medical items provided by the society are invaluable assistance to the hospital in the current state of pandemic in Nepal.


The hospital was established in 2055 BS as a non-profit organization and is now operating 100-beds in the form of a charity organization. The hospital has been providing almost all types of orthopaedic treatment services. 

Dr Bhandari also said that a relief fund could be set up to provide assistance to the poor and needy people suffering from orthopaedic complications.RSS
